FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

Ownership, data, cancellation, what’s included — no fine-print games.

Do I really own my site?

Yes. It runs on a real PostgreSQL database and the Payload CMS. On a DIY plan you get the admin login plus read-only access to your Vercel and Neon dashboards. It is yours.

Can I export my data?

Anytime — and always on cancellation. You get a PostgreSQL database dump, a ZIP of your media, your content as JSON, and the site source code on request, delivered within 7 days.

Am I locked in?

No. There are no early-termination fees. DIY and DWY cancel with 30 days notice; DFY with 60. And you are covered by a 30-day money-back guarantee on your setup fee, starting from your handoff date.

What is included every month, and what costs extra?

Included: hosting, SSL, uptime monitoring, backups, and security and platform updates. Billable: content or feature work beyond your plan — DIY service calls start at $200/hour, while DWY and DFY plans include a monthly bank of hours.

How is this different from Squarespace or Wix?

Short version: they hand you software to build yourself; we hand you a built, migrated, live site you own — with a managed upgrade path whenever you want one. See the full line-by-line on the Compare page.

My business is seasonal. Can I pause?

Yes — pause up to six months, no re-setup fee. DIY pause is $50/month (your site switches to a "closed for season" page, admin paused); DWY/DFY pause is $100/month (your site stays fully live — we just pause active work).

How long does it take to launch?

Days, not months. We build from proven templates and migrate up to 20 pages or products for you.

Can I start DIY and upgrade later?

Yes. Move from DIY to DWY to DFY as your business grows — same site, same platform, no rebuild.
